A career shaped by expertise and impact.
Elena is Head of the Department of Bioengineering at Ashesi University. She joined Ashesi in 2016 after teaching and research appointments in the United Kingdom and the United States.
Her academic background spans mathematics, microbiology and bioengineering. Her research explores cost effective and non invasive therapies and sensing technologies that respond to health priorities in African contexts.
